5 Cardio Methods to Burn Fat 3 Times Faster
1. Density Sets
To make use of density sets, select 3 to 4 exercises that don’t compete with each other because you will be doing these exercises back to back.
One example that Posternak gives is to do squats, rows and military presses – they work your legs, back and shoulders, respectively. If you can only do bodyweight, you might want to choose lunges, push-ups, and sprawls.
Set up a timer for 5 minutes. Perform each exercise for a set amount of reps, start with 10 reps if you are new to this. Once you complete 10 reps on one exercise, move to the next exercise without taking a break in between. Continue doing the exercises, one after the other, until the timer runs out.
2. 30-30 Drill
A variation of Tabata training, the 30-30 drill is the second in this list of cardio methods to burn fat 3 times faster.
Perform any exercise with high intensity for 30 seconds, switch to a moderate intensity for another 30 seconds, then back to the high intensity. Switch back and forth between high and moderate intensity for a total of 15 minutes.
3. Incline Hill Training
For each degree of inclination on your walks or runs, you will burn about 10% more calories, Posternak explains.
Adding some form of incline or hill training to your cardio will also include your glutes and back muscles into the mix.
4. Kettlebells
Incorporating kettlebells is another great way to increase your calorie expenditure. According to some scientific studies, a kettlebell workout can burn more than 20 calories per minute, which is similar to running a 6-minute mile.

5. Low-Intensity Steady State
If you do not like high-intensity exercises, which is pretty much everything raised in the points above in this list of cardio methods to burn fat 3 times faster, then this last one is for you.
One simple tweak you can do for your LISS, or low-intensity steady state, is to run or jog outside instead of on a treadmill. Since the ground under you is not moving so you will burn more calories.
Posternak also says you can engage in full-body cardio workouts such as boxing or using the elliptical machine – for this last one, use enough resistance not to create and move through momentum.
