HIIT stands for high-intensity interval training – in other words, an all-out-intensity cardiovascular exercise. It sounds great on paper and, believe it or not, it is also great in reality. If you want to lose weight, check out this list of 10 HIIT exercises to lose belly fat in no time.
This list was first shared by Max Posternak. He is the founder of Gravity Transformation, a website focused on giving tips and training guidance for people looking to improve their fitness and lose weight. His YouTube channel has over 5 million subscribers.
HIIT Exercises to Lose Belly Fat Faster
1. Slam Ball
Easy to do and with multiple benefits that will increase your endurance and build muscle at the same time.
2. Cable Woodchopper
Combining the squat with a rotational movement is sure to fire up your obliques and lower body. “Strengthening with exercises like the woodchop can really help prevent potential injuries,” Posternak says.
3. Weighted Burpee
If you want to burn even more calories, why not add weight to the gruesome burpee? Simply do the normal burpee while holding two moderately heavy dumbbells on each hand, because at the end of the movement you will curl and press the dumbbells over your head.
This movement is similar to the devil press.
If it is too difficult or too demanding on your knees, you can perform the normal burpee as it could also be in this list of HIIT exercises to lose belly fat.
4. Kettlebell Swings
This exercise boosts your heart rate, burn calories and build muscle. The kettlebell swing is the most basic kettlebell movement people learn. Just know how to do it properly, as it is a hinge exercise, not an arm one.

5. Kettlebell Long Cycle
Only do this one if you know how to perform kettlebell swings properly. You will need two kettlebells on the floor, grab and swing them between your legs to initiate the movement. As the kettlebells come up, tuck them between your biceps and forearms. From that position, bend your knees and perform a push press with the kettlebells over your head.
6. Battle Rope
There are many different exercises you can do with a battle rope to burn calories and, subsequently, lose belly fat. Posternak talks about alternating speed rope slams, overhead rope slams, and rotational slams.

7. Prowler / Sled
Pushing a heavy prowler or sled might look easy enough, but it can be very taxing on your body as it demands nearly every major muscle group for you to use.
Do a couple of laps and your heart will be through the roof.
8. Mountain Climbers
You can do it anywhere this exercise, but Posternak recommends using suspension training, like TRX, to get the most out of this movement.

9. Hammer Swing
If you have access to this equipment to train, do it! Grip the hammer with both hands, swing the arms wide, pull the hips out from under you, contract your core and slam the tire. Switch your stance and do it on the other side.
10. Turkish Get-Up
You can do this exercise with a dumbbell, a kettlebell, or if you want to be very difficult, a barbell. It might look weird, but this exercise shreds off calories.
