THE 12 BARS OF CHRISTMAS

The structure of the workout is the same as the song “12 Days of Christmas”. Complete each exercise in ascending order then work back down, adding one exercise per round.

4 SHOULDER PRESS
5 BACK SQUATS
6 PUSH PRESS
7 THRUSTERS

10 HANG POWER SNATCHES
11 OVERHEAD SQUATS
12 SUMO DEADLIFT HIGH PULLS
*START WITH 1 DEADLIFT AND PROGRESS THROUGH THE WORKOUT JUST LIKE THE “12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS” SONG (1 DEADLIFT, 2 HANG POWER CLEANS, 1 DEADLIFT, 3 FRONT SQUATS, 2 HANG POWER CLEANS, 1 DEADLIFT…ETC…)

3 rounds of Dickensian misery will greet any CrossFit athlete looking for a more miserable way to spend their Christmas workout time. Believe us, you will most definitely be “Scrooged” by the time you finish this one. 

Workout:

Complete as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes of:
3 Heavy Thrusters
4 Big Box Jumps
5 Chest to Bar Pull-ups

12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS

The 12 Days of Christmas is a fun and infamous Christmas workout for CrossFit Athletes all around the world. 

Like the song the “12 Days of Christmas”, complete each exercise in ascending order then work back down, adding one exercise per round. 

Ex. On the 1st day of Xmas, my coaches gave to me, one Sumo Deadlift High Pull; on the 2nd day of Xmas my coaches gave to me, 2 Thrusters and 1 SDHP; on the 3rd day of Xmas, my coaches gave to me, 3 Push Press, 2 Thrusters, and 1 SDHP; etc.

** Affiliate Team use 95#/65# for all barbell movements **

THE GRINCH – CHRISTMAS CROSSFIT WORKOUTS

This is pretty much exclusively for elite CrossFit Athletes and excellent gymnasts, but the video below of Noah Ohlsen completing the WOD is entertaining. 

  • 3 Rounds For Time
  • 1 Snatch Balance (315/205 lb)
  • 2 Back Flips
  • 3 Cleans (315/205 lb)
  • 4 Freestanding Handstand Push-Ups

12 WODS OF CHRISTMAS – THE JOSH BRIDGES VERSION

Josh Bridges also likes to release his own personal version each year of the 12 WODs of Christmas workout. So if you want to get brutal and pay the man this Christmas, then this is the version you should try. 

As above, the WOD takes the same format as the“12 Days of Christmas” song. Complete each exercise in ascending order then work back down, adding one exercise per round.
