Learn how to lose fat faster with some knowledge and background information.
These tips were shared by Ryan Humiston. His YouTube channel has become one of the fastest-growing fitness channels out there with more than 1.2 million subscribers and more than 85 million video views.
“You can’t get extraordinary results by putting an ordinary amount of effort,” Humiston says, alerting that you will have to be slightly obsessive and do things you probably didn’t think of doing before.
And yes, you will have to be in a caloric deficit but his first warning is that a normal diet with just a slight caloric deficit is not going to get the results you want.
“You’re going to chip away that deficit little by little with coming in throughout your day, or you’re going to cheat so much that deficit is going to disappear.” The difficulty is to have a diet that makes progress fast enough to encourage you, but not too fast that will break your spirit and have you binge eating a month later.
“In my experience, most people […] either don’t eat enough protein, they’re eating too many calories, or they justify having too many carbs.”

Rethinking Diet
If you want to learn how to lose fat faster you need to rethink what you know about diet.
Ryan says that most fitness trainers will get you on a diet for 16, 12 or 10 weeks. That is too long, in his opinion. “That’s a marathon. And the truth is diets are better done as sprints, so reframe the way you think about it and take care of your current day and win the week.”
At the end of each week make sure you implement a refeed meal. This will be the light at the end of the tunnel and will motivate you more to know you can relax after 6 days of relentless work.
Lower Deficit
Humiston also talks about a “fairly widespread misconception of how low you should push your calories.”
As long as you keep your protein intake high enough, you can push the boundaries of how many calories you are taking every day. “Maybe I can push myself a little bit harder and drop my calories a little bit more and see what happens.”
Maintaining the Look
You were on a diet for a while and worked out intensely to lose weight and get the body you want. Now you don’t need to diet any longer, correct? Kind of.
After getting to where you are now, Humiston says that most people fail when it comes to eating normally again. “All you gotta do is find your new maintenance level of calories based on your new body weight, and eat slightly below that because you still want to factor in having that refeed meal once a week.”
Most people, Humiston’s argue, stop having the refeed meal once a week and, instead, try to add something in every single day.
